Parkgate Farm Holidays
We have 5 luxury static caravans and a cosy holiday cottage nestled in the valley looking up at the Wasdale and Eskdale fells. The accommodation is surrounded by fields and woodland perfect for exploring, playing and den building or simply sitting and observing the rich wildlife that surrounds us. Low level walks and the high fells are all accessible from our doorstep as well as an array of interlinking bridleways for mountain biking and horse riding.

Parkgate Farm is a hidden gem in the Western Lakes where all you can hear is birdsong, the wind in the trees and the occasional braying of one of our donkeys. Harter Cottage is situated within its own private garden beneath a beautiful eucalyptus tree. The living room and two of the three bedrooms look out towards the fells.
Services
We can't wait to welcome all families to Parkgate Farm and share nature's playground with you.
Surrounding the farm we have fields and woodland just waiting to be explored.
Climb trees, build dens, watch clouds, whatever takes your fancy.
We are also creating a small play area for immediate fun and games right next the accommodation with a grassy area for playing ball games.
Within a half hour drive you can be at the foot of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain for those wanting to enjoy the high fells.
We welcome dogs with open arms at Parkgate Farm so they can enjoy the space and freedom along with our guests.
A maximum of two dogs per unit of accommodation is permitted.
There are lots of dog friendly walks immediately around Parkgate woods and they can enjoy a good run along the beach too.
Most local visitor attractions allow dogs too so they needn't miss out on your day trips.
Please clean down your dog before re-entering accommodation - we know how muddy we can all get when having fun!.
Please don't allow your dog on the furniture - not all our guests are as dog friendly as you and me.
The beauty of Parkgate Farm is its location away from the noise and bustle found in many areas of the Lake District.
Yet it is only 5 miles from Scafell Pike (England's highest mountain) and 5 miles from our beautiful Cumbrian coast.
The area has plenty of activities for all ages including wonderful walks from the farm, mountain biking and an abundance of wildlife to view.
There is the La'al Ratty narrow gauge railway from Ravenglass to Eskdale and Muncaster Castle with its Owlery and beautiful gardens.
