A Traditional Inn In the Heart of Scotland. Our enviable location overlooking the spectacular Falls of Dochart means you' ll never forget your stay at our family run Inn. Located amongst the unspoilt and breathtaking landscapes of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, our Inn is the perfect place to relax and unwind, or loose yourself in our rich history, or the many outdoor activities on offer around Killin.

An old blacksmiths dating from the 1700's, our charming stone building is furnished to the highest country contemporary standards, while managing to retain many original features. Upon arrival at the Inn you' ll instantly be drawn to our large open fire - the perfect place to unwind with a warming malt whisky from our well stocked bar.

Whether it' s a family holiday, a walking trip, or a romantic get away, our friendly staff will always be on hand to ensure that you have the best possible Scottish experience in wonderfully comfortable surroundings.Dogs are always welcome, and if you just can't leave the laptop at home we can provide you with free wireless internet.

All have bathrooms which incorporate slate floors, under-floor heating and either a deep roll top bath or invigorating shower.
Whether you choose a Falls Room or a Standard Room, we can promise that you' ll enjoy an incredible sleep as you drift off to the soothing sound of the waterfalls.
We have two delightful cottages to choose from where you can come along and enjoy a peaceful stay with us.
Both are located within the grounds of the Falls of Dochart Inn.

Falls Cottage is a delightful and quaint self-catering cottage situated in the gardens of the Falls of Dochart Inn hotel.
It has 3 double bedrooms, all decorated to high standards.
Our atmospheric bar - Warmed by an open fire and lit by candlelight, is decorated with various antiques including Jacobean swords.
An excellent sound system plays the best in both haunting Gaelic, and more upbeat traditional Scottish folk music.
If you are lucky, you might even catch an impromptu " session, " with bag pipe players who like to stop by and entertain.
We're proud to serve a selection of award winning real ales from Local producers including Harviestoun's Schiehallion and Old Engine oil.
Our situation right in the heart of Scotland means the Falls of Dochart Inn is the perfect touring base from which to explore East, West, North and South.
Our staff will happily point you towards the haunting scenery of Glen Coe and the dramatic highlands beyond Fort William.
Or if you' d prefer a jaunt to the bright lights, then Edinburgh and Glasgow can be reached easily by car or public transport in around one hour.

The area around The Falls of Dochart Inn is well known for both salmon and trout fishing.
There are plenty of spots to explore with the loch being a popular venue.
We have our own resident Ghillie, Bill Hill.
If you want to explore fishing spots beyond the loch then you get permits from newsagents in Killin.
You can book an unforgettable experience with Bill at the inn.
The best time for salmon is from January to May.
From May to September the best fishing is for trout.
