Wheatland Farm is a tranquil haven of 21 acres managed as a nature reserve for your sustainable holiday. The farm has four eco lodges and a cottage, and because we're not a conventional farm your holiday comes first. You get the space to relax and reconnect. Think Center Parcs without the numbers. Think Featherdown Farms without contrived marketing hype.

You'll find Hot Tubs at two lodges, boats on the biggest pond, fishing, mown paths through the meadows, benches with views, campfire spots, an outdoor chess table and badminton lawn, room for the kids to run off some energy, free bikes to borrow, etc etc. Wheatland Farm has twice won Visit England's top award for sustainable tourism. Our small Devon Farm has wonderful places to stay.

Our Otter Cottage and the smaller eco lodges (Honeysuckle and Nuthatch Lodges) are spacious for a couple and comfortable for up to four. Larger Beech Lodge sleeps six, and fabulous Balebarn Lodge sleeps 8, with an amazing view over the wildlife pond. Beech and Balebarn Lodges have optional Hot Tubs while Honeysuckle has a bookable outside bath.
Services
Wheatland Farm is an ongoing conservation project, and you become part of that when you stay.
No, you don't need to get muddy (though you can if you want!) - it's your Devon eco lodge holiday that makes it possible to manage this patch of countryside for wildlife rather than food.
So you'll see more birds and butterflies than cropsprayers and cowsheds.
We've been working since 2006 to restore our Popehouse Moor Site of Special Scientific Interest, and to extend its wonderful wildlife to the rest of the farm, which we manage as a nature reserve.

The judges said it Showed what is possible in terms of efficiency, ethical purchasing and upcycling.
It further adds to the existing all-embracing experience offered by Wheatland which helps people to re-connect with nature and the simple pleasures of life - without having to be 'wacky green'.
