Great for walkers! We took over St John's Guest House in the summer of 2017, with a view to operating at the higher end of the holiday guest house trade, that make many of our guests return year after year. In recognition we have recently been re-awarded the AA Silver Award to complement our 4 stars, Silver in the Best B&B category of the Dorset Tourism Awards 2020/21 and to our great surprise we then went on to be awarded Silver for Best B&B in the South West!
All guest rooms are en-suite, with brand new king-size beds in many rooms. We offer free Wi-Fi, complimentary movies, bottled water as well as having a large, free on-site car park.

Built in 1880 our home is a Victorian terraced house situated opposite St Johns church along the seafront.
Just a 10 minute walk to the town and 20 minutes to the harbour we benefit from close proximity to the sea but also the quieter neighbourhood.
All of our guests say how lovely and quiet the house is - perfect for a stay to recharge your batteries.
Our dining room on the ground floor has the high ceilings and original coving valued by the Victorian architects.
The front porch also still has the original tiling but modern architecture has allowed us to install a downstairs toilet - perfect after these long journeys!
