Situated on the shores of Loch Melfort, on the West Coast of Scotland, near Oban, our 150 acre Ardenstur Estate offers a tranquil retreat in magnificent surroundings. Our stone-built, self catering holiday cottages provide comfortable accommodation for parties of 2 to 10. Each cottage has an open fire or wood burning stove to supplement the electric heating.
I wish I had known about the holiday cottages sooner, as I would have been holidaying there long before now. It's like heaven on earth! I hope to holiday there again in the not too distant future (If we haven't moved to the west coast of Scotland by then). I can't remember which cottage my brother stayed in but he was thrilled to bits and glad I told him about Ardenstur.

Our seven cottages all have an open fire or wood burning stove to supplement the electric heating, making them ideal for cosy winter nights after a day exploring the breathtaking scenery and numerous walks and trails around the estate.
The estate and the surrounding countryside are perfect for walkers, anglers, dog owners and wildlife lovers.
Although much of the wildlife around here is wild, it's actually pretty tame, often coming right up to the window or front door.
It's an outdoor lovers haven.

Ardenstur Croft sleeps six and offers an open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms.
The ground floor Kingsize bedroom is en-suite.
There is also a ground floor WC / Shower Room.
Outside there is a gravel terrace with a picnic bench.

In clear weather you can see as far east as Ben More above Crianlarich, south nearly as far as Rathlin Island off Northern Ireland and equally far to the north and west.
Even in poorer weather there are wonderful views of the Sound of Jura, the Firth of Lorne, the Sound of Mull and myriad islands in between.

All bookings must be accompanied by a security deposit (100 for two person cottages and 200 for larger cottages).
After your visit we will refund your security deposit less the cost of electricity, breakages or additional cleaning.
If the booking is made less than six weeks before the start of your holiday, the security deposit and the rent is due immediately.
The cottage will be clean and prepared for your arrival.
Please leave the property as you find it and report any breakages, damages or shortcomings to us.
