Services
The hotel is surrounded by some of the most picturesque scenery Scotland has to offer, being located at the edge of the Highlands in the heart of Royal Deeside.
The Hotel backs onto the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve - well known for its natural beauty, wild life and excellent walking.
An easy walk around Loch Kinord, from where the hotel gets its name, is a good way to spend half a day in the country.
South from the hotel is the famous River Dee which flows through the Royal Estate of Balmoral 10 miles up stream.
The Royal valley of the River Dee, internationally famous for its salmon fishing.
Royal Deeside is a fine looking area that captivated Queen Victoria with its characteristic Scottish blend of moody mountains, lofty crags, tumbling rivers and moors and forests.
The rarefied Royal air still pervades the neat chocolate box towns and villages of Deeside, such as Ballater and Braemar, which are unsurprisingly thronged with tourists in season.
Braemar is famous for its Highland Gathering - one of Scotland's best.
