Felin Crewi
Explore the stunning Welsh countryside or enjoy a relaxing, refreshing holiday in our stunning location. Felin Crewi is Welsh for 'Mill on the River Crewi' but a more accurate translation might be, 'Escape from the madness of the modern world in a soothing, 15th-century oasis.' Set in a restored water mill, Felin Crewi is the perfect retreat. Beautifully secluded and yet easily accessible, our two holiday cottages, stable and caravan offer a calm haven to restore a soul bruised and battered by the modern world.

We know, not everything was awesome in the 15th century. Plague, burning people at the stake, poor broadband. There were a few issues. But one thing they definitely understood was tranquillity. They had it in spades. When the most powerful engine available is driven by water, you tend not to worry about the clock too much. Come and stay in one of our beautifully restored mill cottages or, for the vagabond at heart, our stable or caravan.

Each combines the spirit and flavour of a bygone age with luxury and comfort that is as indulgent as a chocolate & cream cake.
Services
After 25 years as a designer in the corporate world, Julie Fortune decided she'd had enough of being her own boss and went to work for two cats called Pickle and Poppit.
They act as general managers at Felin Crewi, in charge of the day-to-day administration of the place and keeping things running smooth and mouse-free.
In addition to running the cottages, Julie-a passionate gardener-is engaged in a long-term project to replant and restore the extensive gardens at Felin Crewi into a haven for the already prolific wildlife in the area.
The original watermill has been sympathetically converted to provide luxury self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people-a delightful home from which to explore the surrounding countryside.
The original watermill, set between a shallow mill pond and a rushing waterfall, has been beautifully restored to provide luxury self-catering accommodation for 2-6 people.
Original features abound: in the kitchen, behind a glass screen, you'll see the original cogs - the pit wheel, wallower and spur wheel that were powered by the waterwheel on the outside wall.
And green and golden I was huntsman and herdsman, the calves Sang to my horn, the foxes on the hills barked clear and cold, And the sabbath rang slowly In the pebbles of the holy streams.
Originally the dairy and stabling for the Mill, The Granary with its beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace, and slate walls offers the ultimate in comfort and charm for up to six people.

The main bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, and the other bedroom has two single beds and a separate bathroom.
All bed linen and towels are supplied.
The lounge is a comfortable haven of peace and tranquillity with large windows overlooking the mill pond.
Perhaps the most charming place to 'hit the hay' at Felin Crewi is our stable.
Originally home for the local neigh-sayers, it has been charmingly restored to provide the high standards of comfort that humans insist on.
It's perfect for a small family and makes an ideal base from which to explore the countryside, or spend a day walking, cycling, or swimming.
If we had to sum it up in one word, we would probably go for 'snug'.
