Our recently redeveloped 12 bedroom guest house offers an exceptional standard of comfort and hospitality. Situated close to the southern tip of Loch Ness and 150m from the centre of Fort Augustus we are the ideal location from which to explore the Scottish Highlands.
Loch Ness Guest House has a rich and varied history dating from the 1800s. This beautiful granite stone-built Victorian residence, located in Fort Augustus in the stunning Scottish Highlands, dates back to the mid 1800s and reflects the character and splendor of that era. It is reputedly one of the oldest buildings in the village after the Abbey. It was once called Carnoch and was owned by the Lovat Hotel as an annex for their main hotel.
In the mid-1900's it was a nursing home before becoming a guesthouse. The new guest house was fully refurbished in 2014 and is furnished to a very high standard.

Loch Ness Guest House was our saviour as our original place to stay let us down badly.
Staff were absolutely brilliant (Evelyn you're a star), room was excellent, breakfast was tremendous.
