The Lake District is a place with lots of things to see and do for all ages.
Whether you fancy a leisurely drive through outstanding scenery, or an action packed day of activities, climbing, cycling, walking, fishing, golf or even quad biking to name but a few, Cumbria is the place for you.
We have listed below a small selection of days out, but please ask if there is anything you'd like to know about or wish to do.
The Glen nestles under this local landmark, which is a prominent hill with a 140 metre ascent and an Iron Age fort, known as Castlesteads, at its summit.
The Glen is fortunate to be located a short walk from The Station Inn at Oxenholme, a charming pub and restaurant where you will find an excellent range of beers, wines and traditional home-cooked food made from fresh local ingredients.
Why not take an evening walk on The Helm to watch the sun set over the Lakeland hills and then reward yourselves with a drink or meal in our local inn?
A little further away (about 1.5 miles), you will find The Punchbowl at Barrow's Green, on the A65 towards the M6, which has a well-regarded menu and produces its own Kendal Mint Cake Vodka.
