We began our married life at Field End farm, just a couple of fields away from Shaw End, converting the farm buildings there to eventually provide five barns to let for holidays while running the sheep farm and bringing up three children, a busy but fulfilling time!
Following a fire in the 'big house' in the early 1980s we succeeded in buying Shaw End and its coach house and there began many years of work to restore Shaw End, a grade 2 listed building, to its former state and to convert the coach house to provide four residencies for local families.
